Since your trailer has surge brakes you would not need a brake controller but you will need a 7-way installed on the 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon that has the 12 volt accessory and reverse light circuit active. The only hard single propane cover we have available is the Camco RV 20 Pound Tank Cover # CAM40565, which looks like it may be a bit too small for your 7 gallon tank. As you mentioned, we do have dual 30 pound tank covers with part # CAM40532 which is Colonial White. I really like the K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors part # KS3990 you saw. There are no custom fit towing mirrors for the Outback so these as far as what I have seen hold the best and most solid. From what you described about how the parts were installed on the axle, I highly recommend replacing the axle. This will also go for the hubs. It sounds like everything was made to be permanently sealed on the spindle, which is definitely not suggested.
